ABBI (Artificial Best Bud Intelligence) is an AI companion service. Your ABBI is an artificial intelligence — not a human being, not a therapist, and not a medical, legal, financial, or mental-health professional. ABBI will never claim to be human. You must be at least 18 years old to use ABBI.
You sign in with your email address and are responsible for activity under your account. Keep your sign-in email secure; a sign-in code or link sent to your email is the key to your account.
Your ABBI remembers what you share so it can be a good friend: conversations, a life story it maintains, and individual memories. You control what may ever be shared beyond your friendship: every memory starts private, and only specific facts you explicitly approve can be shared with another ABBI for the purpose of introducing you to new people. Your ABBI's story, its profile, and your private information are never shared. See the Privacy Policy for the full data picture.
Don't use ABBI to break the law, harm others, impersonate anyone, attempt to access another person's data or ABBI, or abuse, overload, or reverse-engineer the service. We may suspend accounts that do.
ABBI is free to start: your first 500 messages with your ABBI — yours and ABBI's counted together — are free, with no time limit. The paid subscription is $9.99 per month, renews automatically until you cancel, and includes a monthly allowance of conversation. You can cancel anytime in Settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you keep access until then. Optional top-ups are prepaid usage credits (for example, $20 buys $10 of additional usage), drawn down as you use the service; unused top-up credit does not expire while your account is active.
Except where applicable law requires otherwise, payments are final: subscription fees are not refunded for partial periods, and top-up credit is not refundable once any of it has been used. If we ever discontinue ABBI, we will refund unused top-up balances and the unused portion of the current subscription period.
AI can be wrong, confused, or out of date. Don't rely on ABBI for decisions where accuracy matters. Your conversations are processed by third-party AI providers through their APIs, and those providers may use API content — including responses — to train their models; the Privacy Policy has the details. ABBI is a friend, not a crisis service: if you are in crisis or considering harming yourself, contact emergency services or a crisis line (in the US, call or text 988) — and your ABBI will tell you the same.
What you write is yours. The service, its software, and its design are ours. Your ABBI's name, appearance, voice, and personality are generated within the service and are part of it.
You may stop using ABBI at any time and may request account deletion (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or end accounts that violate these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive — payments, liability, ownership — survive termination.
ABBI is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from the service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app or by email before they take effect, and continuing to use ABBI after that means you accept them. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
