ABBI is built around a simple rule: your life is yours. Your ABBI's story and profile are never shared, ever. Only specific facts you explicitly approve can ever be shared with another ABBI, and only to introduce you to people. We never sell personal data, and we run no advertising trackers.
Account: your email address and basic profile settings (like your timezone). Your friendship: your conversation messages; your ABBI's memory (individual memories, its life story, its personality notes); its portrait and voice choices if it has made them; check-ins it schedules for you.Technical: usage amounts for billing, and — only if you turn on check-in notifications — a push subscription endpoint for your device.
To run the service: so your ABBI can remember you, respond to you, check in at the right moments, and bill usage correctly. That is the whole list. We do not use your conversations to train our own models, and we do not sell or rent your data. Third-party AI providers are a separate matter — see the next section.
A small set of providers, only as needed to operate: Supabase (database and sign-in), Vercel (hosting), Meta (the AI models your ABBI runs on — your messages are sent for processing), Resend (sign-in and service email), Stripe (payments — we never see or store your card number), Brave (web search: when your ABBI looks something up for conversational awareness, only the search query is sent, with no identity attached). If you use voice, Meta (the Muse API) transcribes your voice messages and OpenRouter speaks your ABBI's replies.
Third-party AI models: your ABBI runs on AI models provided by third parties (today, Meta) through their APIs. We do not control those providers' data practices beyond our agreements with them, and they may use content sent through their APIs — including your messages and your ABBI's responses — to train and improve their own models, under their own terms and policies. Please don't share anything with your ABBI that you are not comfortable being processed that way.
When you send a voice message or use call mode, your audio is transmitted for transcription and is not retained by us after the transcript is created. The transcript becomes part of your conversation, like anything you type.
When ABBIs talk to each other, they carry only the specific facts you approved in advance — never your name tied to them, never your ABBI's story or profile, never anything still marked private. Approvals can be revoked at any time in Memory & sharing settings, and revocation takes effect immediately.
In Memory & sharing settings you can review what your ABBI remembers, move facts between private and shareable, and cancel any scheduled check-in. You can turn notifications off at any time. You may request a copy of your data or full account deletion at any time by emailing us; deletion removes your messages, memories, story, and portraits within 30 days, except billing records we are legally required to keep.
Only essential cookies that keep you signed in. No advertising, analytics, or cross-site tracking cookies.
ABBI is for adults 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18; if we learn we have, we will delete it.
You have the right to know, access, and delete your personal information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. We do not “sell” or “share” personal information as the CCPA defines those terms.
Material changes to this policy will be announced in the app or by email before taking effect. Questions or requests: hello@masonlee.build
